Main PageTaskinen Gems Ltd was established in 1994 by the Finnish brothers Eero and Hannu Taskinen. The company was born out of love for gemstones. It gave the brothers a possibility to spend even more time on their common hobby; precious stones. The company focuses on international wholesale of diamonds and colored stones During the first years the customers consisted mainly of Finnish jewelers, but the business was soon extended to Sweden and Estonia. In 2000 Taskinen Gems already imported gemstones from seven different countries and among the customers were several well-known Scandinavian jewelers. Jari Siljamäki joined the company in 2003 in order to strengthen the company’s diamond trade. In 2004 the name of the company was changed to TAG gems Ltd. The same year a cutting factory named Fine Sapphires.com Ltd was established in Sri Lanka. The factory specializes in high quality cutting of coloured gemstones and delivers stones to Europe, USA, Thailand and China. Since 2005 TAG gems Ltd has been the official wholesaler of Signity products in Scandinavia and the Baltic countries. Today TAG gems is doing business with more than 20 countries worldwide.
